I bought a Herstyler but it doesn't straighten my hair perfectly like the demo in the mall that I tried. I gets rid of my waves all right and gets it relatively straight but my hair still puffs out like it usually does after 5 minutes unless i comb it down again or smooth it down with my hands. It's just not the same as how it was from the demo. Is the straightener defected or do I just not know how to use it? (I put it on medium heat for my wavy hair and glide it slowly through like I'm supposed to...). Please help because this is frustrating after paying a lot for this...Is there a problem with my hair straightener?
It's not the straightener. It's just going to take some time to get used to. Try straightening your hair in little sections. I know it might take a while, but once you get used to it, it goes by much faster. Also, try getting some straightening serum to use on your hair. It takes out the poof and frizz. Is there a problem with my hair straightener?
put it on a higher heat setting. humidity ruins hair. hope this helps! (:
your hair might be puffy beacuse there is humdity in the air or the rain if. if it puffs out everyday flaten down then put hairspray on it see if that helps
its not the straightener...
use some matt-downing formula (there is one by Aveda) and that shud do the trick
Increase the heat. If it doesnt last long it s because the heat isnt high enough.
Dont be afraid, you wont burn your hair, as long as you go through it not too slow.
You can also spray a product on your hair prior to straightening, that will protect your hair from the heat and give it shine and will help it to last. I would suggest treseme and I know L Oreal Pro has some too.
use biosilk... apply it to damp hair after u shower and blowdry then straighten.. works great!!!
Did they put any heat protector on your hair (it may have been sprayed on) because they not only protect your hair they also help hold the form of the flat ironing. You might want to try a silkening serum like Biosilk or Paul Mitchell's gloss drops afterwards to stop fly aways and control puffiness, otherwise if you believe your hair can withstand the heat, try turning it up a notch, not too hot, a little bit at a time, be careful. However, if they told you that you wouldn't need any products and that this iron will straighten it as they did on the setting they had it on and it doesn't, i would try and get a refund or trade it if that is possible.
right before you straighten a part.. put a little squrit of hairspray on it.. and just take little sections at a time when you straighten it
I use Dab of water first ( spray it ) before i use mine.
