well since lice and nits stay right at your scalp the only way a straightener would kill them is is you put it direct on your scalp and burned the sh*t out of your head.

No it can't. The lice and nits are around the nape of your neck and behind your ears mainly. But there are still plenty everywhere else on the scalp too. So unless your planning on burning your scalp that will do nothing for you.
Try tea tree oil which is a natural antiseptic that can help rid lice and nits.
