After using a hair straightener, will the hair stay straight after a night of sleep?

If not... how long can straightened hair last? After using a hair straightener, will the hair stay straight after a night of sleep?
its a matter of the thickness and if your hair has natural waves in itAfter using a hair straightener, will the hair stay straight after a night of sleep?
I have very curly hair and if i straighten it then go to bed, its really straight in the morning since i laid on it all night it the bed. Sometimes ill go over it in the morning but i really don't have to. Just invest in a really good straightener. Try buying a CHI or GHD. Before using my CHI it took me forever to straighten my hair! Also, if you use shampoo for straightening that helps a lot too!
well my hair is naturally straight with a little bit of waves, so after a nights sleep, the ends aren't straight anymore and i have a few kinks from the way i lie down. what i do is, after getting up, i just quickly re-straighten the ends and the first layer quickly just to get it all straight again (:

and for me, it usually lasts until my hair gets wet, and when i tie my hair up, it gets a hugee kink from the hair tie. it pretty much depends on your day, but usually it lasts until you have a shower or it gets wet (:
it depends...

i have really curly hair. its about the length of my profile image when it is straight. when its curly its right up against my head. i use a really good straightener. the better quality the straightener is the better chance it will stay straight over nite. when i sleep on it, it stays pretty straight, just the ends need a touch up but its sooo quick it does not take very long. idk how long it lasts bcuz i cant stand not being clean. if i dont take a shower everyday then its every other day. otherwise it will get greasy and dry and i cant stand it. so i suggest to get a good straightener like the chi or conair infiniti (the one i have) and do a good job straightening it and then ur good to go. u will just need a few touch ups in the morning.
I tie my hair in a ponytail on top of my head with a scrunchie, then in the morning let it down. The bangs will need to be re-straightened (but that only takes a second!) and then I run over the whole head real quick and it's good to go. Mine stays straight for 2 or 3 days, but it depends on your hair texture and the flat iron that you use.
It depends on your hair. My college roommate used to straighten her hair, and as long as she didn't get it wet, it stayed for about three days. It'd have stayed longer, but by that point, she had to wash it.
If you have really thick hair then you should wrap your hair with bobby pins to keep in place, then when you wake up it will still be straight, that's what i do with my hair and it works.
Mine doesnt hold after a night of sleep but some poeples hair is different....you can always wrap it or cover it with a bandana for it to stay nicer.
depends how naturally curly ur hair is

i have curly hair so after a night of sleep, the ends begin to curl again

not badly just a little
Probably not, because your laying on your hair all night will make it frizzy, and if you have curly hair it will curl back up.
It should as long as you don't get exposed to any dampness.
