Does it matter if you use a really cheap hair straightener?

Will it still straighten good?Does it matter if you use a really cheap hair straightener?
They will straighten yes but they will not be as good or they will not last as long. Also your hair may need to be straightened for longer as they will take longer to heat up. Try getting some straighteners like GHD as they are great if you cannot afford them tresemme are great.Does it matter if you use a really cheap hair straightener?
Yes,it does matter because the cheaper the iron is the less hotter it gets the lower the degrees.also, the most expensive iron have special ions that don't make your hair get frizz and fly-aways.Always buy a ceramic iron because that's the best to not burn your hair.Every iron burn your hair if you use it too much and through the years but a ceramic is the best...

I myself have had alot of experiences with iron because i love straight hair and my hair is wavy and frizzy...

ive bought from conair to revlon brands...Trust me the cheaper ones aren't worth it.It is better to buy and expensive one from 80 dollars up and has more quality, durable, does your hair way better and can go up to 450-500 degrees fahrenheit. It also help with getting your hair done quicker specially if your in a rush, and you wont need to put much sprays or liquids to tame frizz or so the iron works better..It also depend what shampoo and conditioner you use.Try Garnier fructis 'sleek ans shine'.It leaves your hair soft, shiny, straight, smelling good and very manageable for ironing..For the iron i use the brand 'bed head'.This iron is awesome,I straightens your hair in a flash and can go up to 450 degrees of heat.No matter how much ive dropped it it worked perfectly fine and ive had it for like a year already..If you have thin and damaged hair already like me try using a protective spray specialized for heat with keratin so it wont damage your hair....This iron cannot be compared to any other iron it leaves your hair super straight and shiny.Even if you run and sweat or go into a sauna it will stay perfect! It is worth the money..

I will never buy a cheap iron again and dont recomend to anyone.Another iron i dont recomend is the ones that are called wet n straight, something like that, that you can iron your hair without drying it while it wet....bad idea when i bought that one.it damages and burns hair twice more than the cheap non-ceramic ones without you even noticing.

I dont really have any knowledge about the super expensive irons like the hundred dollar ones with the fancy brand names and that can even curl hair because ive never tried them.Im afraid it will only be expensive for it brand and not as durable or good as the one i use from bedhead..

so my suggestion is to not buy a cheap iron get one from 80 dollars up...

Very amazing almost magical iron is from BEDHEAD,they even come in cool color like blue neon green and pink.ITS like 80 dollars and they sell it anywhere like drugstores but ive seen more of them in target.

well good luck with picking a good iron and hope my information was useful not only to you but other woman who struggle with straightening their hair :)

Yes it does matter alot. Most cheap straighteners have metal plates and these are extremely bad for your hair. You also have to keep going over your hair til it's straight and this is bad as it will burn it, you also won't get the lovely shiny effect you do from better brands such as GHD.
No it won't - only if your hair is in really good condition.

The reason for this is because the cheap ones are cheap because they are only ceramic COATED not ceramic PLATED. Unless your hair is in very good condition it will end up fairly straight with a layer of frizz over the top if you use cheap ones.

Buy GHD, they are expensive but worth every penny and no others compare.
Hi there,

We've set up a blog on behalf of Remington which links to reviews of the Shine Therapy Straightener and Dryer.

Some people who reviewed the straighteners have said that some kinds of straighteners can damage your hair, take a look at this post for example:

http://www.remingtonshine.com/lollipop26/a>

There are also some video reviews on the blog. I hope that helps!
i have tried both a cheap verision (rimingtons) a fair price (tresemme) and an expensive pair (GHD's) i think that the worse where the cheaper ones they didn't really do much, the tresemme where ok but nothing does a job as quick or as easy as the more expensive ones, also i thought [and it wasn't just me a friend to] it caught on the hair

i honestly recommend saving

=]
Oh honey, it makes a world of difference. $20 - $50 straighteners won't do much of anything, other than making your hair poofy and coarse. :(

Invest in a good straightener - GVD, chi, these work wonders. They aren't cheap, at ALL, but they make your hair silky and so easy to work with.

It depends what temperature it goes up to. You need quite a high temperature (200 degrees) to maintain the straightness throughout the day and for it to actually straighten your hair. hope i helped xx
It really all depends on the brand of Straightener and what type of hair u have i use a cheap hair Straightener and it does the job fine but if your hair is hard to straighten then i would think about getting one a bit better quality
I have the BaByliss Pro 230 and i also have Lee Stafford's Poker Straight and Kinda Curly Irons and both of them were about 拢25 each adn my hair stays straight all day long and isn't puffy or bushy, it is flat and shiny. (:
No, most expensive hair straighteners straighten ten times better than cheap ones. Plus, they usually do less damage than cheap ones.
i bought a cheap one.......and it sucks. i would invest. they just dont work as well and it takes longer. you get what you pay for.
I Suppose it doesn't really matter to be honest.

As long as you think its doing the job you want it to.

Dearer ones are better though.

x
it matters it will burn your hair
