What do you think of the pink Cerashine hair straightener?

I want to get my daughter a hair straightener for her birthday. I am thinking about getting her the pink Cerashine. Is it any good? My daughter has really wavy hair.

by the way, please do not recommend the chi or ghd. They are out of my budget. thanks. What do you think of the pink Cerashine hair straightener?
that hairstraightner is wonderful.

and btw what is your budget cause i have other rally good straigteners i would

recomend. What do you think of the pink Cerashine hair straightener?
it works pretty well. my cuzn has it and i like it :]

Would you recommend using a wet 2 straight hair straightener?

I would like to start using one but I'm not sure if it is worse then a dry iron.Would you recommend using a wet 2 straight hair straightener?
My friend has it,and ive used it too. It works really well. You'r hair makes a sizzeling noise for a second, but its fine! Its not like you'r hair is ganna burn off! But i would recamend it. Its better then having to blow dry, or wait for you'r hair to dry before strightening it. Well......hoped this helped!Would you recommend using a wet 2 straight hair straightener?
Absolutely not. Wet 2 Dry straighteners are way too damaging, you are much better off using a regular straightener.

I've talked to a few girls who have used a wet 2 dry straightener and experienced something called ';bubble hair.'; It's basically severe damage to hair that looks like a bubble at the ends causing it to break off. It is typically attributed to extreme heat, which is what you're putting your hair through when you're trying to dry and straighten at the same time.
I would not recommend it. It will damage your hair tremendously even if you use a ';ceramic'; one. What would be best for your hair is wash it every 2-4 days depending on your hair type and letting it air dry, then blow dry until it feels dry, then cool dry so the heat is not stuck in your hair. After that wait about 15-30 minutes before straitening it with a ceramic hair straitener.

hope this helps =)
Some will say go for it others will say no.

If you keep up with deep conditioning your hair and if you use a hair protectant before on your wet hair, you will be fine.

its nice because it does your hair faster than blow drying it and then straightening.

Now some advice is, DON'T buy a cheap one. With these you will need to buy a good quality iron.
it's horribly damaging. my friend is a stylist and despises wet 2 dry straighteners. i guess if you keep up with deep conditioning it would be okay.
I use on and its pretty good I straighten it sometimes when its wet but my stylist said that I shouldn't over do it by straighting my hair wet. Hope this helps!!
My wife uses one and her hair is fine
it damages your hair more
Yes, I use my Conair one and it works awesome.

I want to sell my hair straightener online without the ebay kind of hassle?

it's only about a month old and i want to sell it online if i can, but i don't like ebay because of all the things you have to do and the complication. I will do that if i have no choice, but is there anything else I can do? thanks.I want to sell my hair straightener online without the ebay kind of hassle?

Where can I find a good hair cordless hair straightener?

But not too expensive. I need it for gym class, because we're not allowed to have corded anything. I have pretty curly hair, but I just want it for the front side touch-ups. Any ideas? It should be able to get pretty hot, but not die after a couple of uses. I don't have THAT many batteries! lol. Thanks!Where can I find a good hair cordless hair straightener?
I wouldn鈥檛 waist your money, find a plug your typical hair strengtheners pull about 1300 amp it will heat up and die in minutes and when you cycle batteries that fast they tend not to work after a wile some leak and ruin cloths and hairWhere can I find a good hair cordless hair straightener?
Well I suggest Target, Wal-Mart , or BJs membership club....They always have all those beauty Items(Not like we girls need them!) I dont reccomend ordering from a catalog or ebay because they could damage it and cordless things are always more expensive and damage would not be good!..I also dont reccomend K-amrt...they have cheapo stuff...Hope I helped!

Does the conair pink ceramic hair straightener work well?

Does anyone know if it does?

By the way, my hairs already straight but its pretty thick so I just wanna thin it sometimes by straightening it.I don't need the expensive straighteners since I won't be straightening it everyday anyways.Does the conair pink ceramic hair straightener work well?
Yup! My friend has that straightener %26amp; I had to use it when I slept over at her house. Its really smooth and easy on hair. If you were straightening everyday, I;d say get the CHI but since your not this straightener is the best!

I'm not sure what products are out there that you can put in for protection but I know if you use it on a lower heat setting or have it on high, but don't hold it in the same place for long then you should be ok.
use a heat protecting spray such as Got 2 be Guardian Angel. also, use a ceramic straightener.:)

put lotion or hair serum in your hair while its wet, spray it with hair spray then blow dry itHow do I straighten my hair without a hair straightener?
That is not possible. I you only have shampoo and a blow dryer then the straightest you can get your hair is to wash your hair and blow dry it. Not curl it.
You can get a blow drier and blow dry your hair while its wet and your brushing it straight.
    Blow dry it straight....

Or before you go to bed wrap your hair around your head...(well, scalp, I guess) and clip that in place (using little silver clips).

It'll be straight once you wake up.

The best thing to do is blow dry your hair WHILE blow drying it. Other than that I don't think that there is much more to do than a hair straightener.
    Use Gel!

I recommend Axe cuz it smells good! =)

Should i get the Coriolis hair straightener?

I have really thick curly hair and need a straightener. Should i get the coriolis? People say its good then say its bad. What do i do and if its bad what straightener should i get?Should i get the Coriolis hair straightener?
I think my Coriolis straighteners are the best. They were expensive but I have had them for 2 years and I used them most days on my long hair. They heat up immediately and glide through my frizzy hair. I always spray my hair with Treseme heat protect first and it makes it nice and shiney. I went to the shop to buy GHDs and the assistant said that the Coriolis were better. I wasn't sure at the time but bought them anyway and haven't been disappointed. I got them from the Sally shop and they let me try some out in the shop before I bought.Should i get the Coriolis hair straightener?
Also the CHI is really good, I have had it and use it practically every day.. with some Tresseme Hair Protection Spray your all set to go and now there only around $100 and really really worth it

theres lots that you can do.

    - curl it maybe?

    - wash your hair at night rough blow dry it so about 70% of it is dry then put it in plaits and go to sleep, then you got cool waves in the morning. (:

    - leave it natural

    - put it in a messy bun with loose bits of hair hanging out of it

    - tie it up in a messy ponytail.

    anything you like really. (:
Well you can straighten your hair with curlers but it's tricky, you could get a straightening balm that you put on your hair then blowdry it and that keeps your hair looking straight and sleek, I hope I helped. xx
you should try braiding it. it usually looks really cool.

    or simply get another straightner.

Chi i would say, and here is a great video tutorial on how to curl with it :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoQ13ubPO鈥?/a>How do you curl your hair with a hair straightener?
I have a chi that works pretty well.

start with it at the point of your hair you want to curl to start, clamp down on your hair and move it slowly down you hair going in circles. Don't hold it too tight or you'll get creases in your hair.
start at the mid part of your hair and then make motions like your flipping your hair outwards but continue doing it until you get to the end. And you have to put some pressure on it. Watch YouTube turorials. It's really easy.

    good luckk

You don't have to put anything in it to make it strait it just will help the process from drying out your hair.

Wash it like regular and blowdry it using a brush to help make it straight a Natural Bristle Brush works best. But any brush will do. Depending on how long your hair is run a large curling iron through it using small sections at a time.

If you like hairspray then use it. And your done.

I'm traveling to another state within the US soon. If I can, carry-on or luggage?

I'm also curious about eyelash curlers. The TSA Prohibited list says they can be brought carry-on and checked. They are hamless enough, but you never know these days.

Nail clippers? Will I be allowed to bring along a hair straightener/flat iron on a airline flight?
Yes, I have taken hair dryers, nail clippers, tweazers in my carry on luggage. So I dont see why you wouldnt be able to take a hair straightner. Will I be allowed to bring along a hair straightener/flat iron on a airline flight?
Everything yes, except nail clippers. it really depends on what type they are. The normal ones, I have gotten through security, the pointy ones (suticle) nooooo!
    yes, no problem
Your flat iron, eyelash curlers, nail clippers, cuticle clippers, and most everything else is allowed. If you have the prohibited list, take it with you, as I've seen on this site some of the TSA Officers aren't reading up on their new SOP. This way if they even try to take your nail clippers, you can show them the prohibited list. Oh yea nail clippers have been fine for at least two years, only major change in prohibited is lighters which changed in April of 2005.
I brought my hair straightener with me on my last flight. I put it in the luggage I think. Eye lash curler - probably okay too. Not sure about nail clippers, sadly - that may be pushing the limits!
Yes, you can hair straightener/flat iron inboard, and even clippers, if the TSA has a problem with what you have they will look to see if it can legally go, or take it from you and have it mailed to you, not a Big Deal, you'll be fine, besides they just pass the Law where clippers, nail files, sewing needles, etc can come through security, trust me, I'm a flight attendant I know theses things...

How to straighten the hair without using the hair straightener?

i am a 16 yr old guy and i want to straighten my hair permanantly without the straightener! is there any shampoo for this purpose..?? please suggest methods! How to straighten the hair without using the hair straightener?
First there are NO Shampoos, or anything that will permanantly straighten your hair`unless its a chemical.

Purchase from a Black Beauty Salon a pre-mixed relaxer called 'Creme of Nature' in the MILD formula.

Purchase as well these products: 'Neutralizing Shampoo' any kind will do to make sure all of the chemical is out of your hair. Shampoo more than once and up to 3 times. Deep Condition good with 'any deep conditioner' of your choice, but don't use protein conditioner because that will only make your hair crunchy.

Get some Vaseline and put it around your hairline even on your neck, and put some on your ears. This is to prevent you from burning your skin if it gets on it. Base/Grease your scalp if you've been scratching, otherwise you will get scabs, if you haven't been scratching your scalp then no need. Use beauty supply gloves like the kind they have in the Doctors office, mix your relaxer before use, put in all over is fine for the first time, but when you have the new hair growing in you ONLY relax that hair, do that once every month or so, but no sooner. Neutralize with that shampoo, rinse good, now deep condition, rinse after a few minutes. Now blowdry with the blowdryer with the comb attachment.

Now you have straight hair that is PERMANANT!!!How to straighten the hair without using the hair straightener?
How do you blowdry it straight? the holding it down does work alot but it doesnt give me disired affects i live near a target and a walmart any type of hair products that they sell that can help me staighten my hair without a straighner please help..if answer please email halomaster1006@yahoo.com

Shampoo can't make your hair straight. There is only one way... you hold your hair straight until it is dry. Simple. And it will stay that way until you get water back in the hair.

You can blowdry it properly, and make it straight. It's always worked before. Or comb it straight and let it dry that way. Or you can comb it really straight, and then wear a tight fitting beanie until dry. Any moisture will make the curls creep back in.

Chemical treatments will also work, but that is pretty drastic. They do damage the hair. You may or may not like the effect. Talk it over with your hairdresser.
permanent is only with hair re-bonding!! and that too for 2-3 yrs!!

moreover there are are many hair products for straightening but they are less effective and you need to use them regularly to get the desired effects

i couldn't suggest any product cause i don't use any such product

I'd advice you to use hair conditioner

use more conditioner for more straight look

but don't ever apply conditioner on scalp.. it will cause oily look.. only apply conditioner on hair lengths

and yes chemicals are likely to have side-effects on your hair %26amp; body.. they might be seen today or after sometime ..
You can get your hair chemically relaxed/straightened, but it won't be 100% straight (because if it ends up that way, you've fried the crap out of your hair.) It will still be much straighter though. You can do this at a salon, but if you're a guy and your hair isn't very long that could get expensive. I know there are relaxers and straighteners for home use, available at Sally's, Target, etc., so you could try those. Good luck!

(PS your hair will be straight until it grows out, then it will be curly/wavy/whatever again.)
you can get it chemically straightened

The Sedu ionic Ceramic tourmaline flat iron (1 1/2'; or 1'; depending on hair type)

1 1/2'; is for longer hair, that is thick or medium or thin

1'; is for short to medium hair, that is also thick or medium or thin

On www.folica.com shipping is free, and the straightener costs $115.95, but don't be too hesitant about the cost.

How do i curl my hair with a hair straightener?

My hair is straight but i want to make it curly sometimes, i don't have a curling iron but i have a staightener. And people say i can do that, but how??

    I have seen videos,

Usually that would Help me understand more,

But reading the steps is more easy for me.

Thanks!!How do i curl my hair with a hair straightener?
    Here are the steps,

    1. Heat up your curling iron.

    2. When it's hot, take a small strand of your hair

    3. Take it and straighten it smooth first

    4. Then take it again and theis time Curl the iron once

    5. DON'T UN-CURL THE IRON!

    6. Smooth it down slowly, [with the iron still curled once]

    Fact:

The faster you smooth it down, the less curly it will be.

    7. when it's done, Release the iron from your hair,

    8. Let it cool at least 30 secounds when it's curled

    9. Repeat the steps from 1 though 8 if you want to curl another one

Good luck!!How do i curl my hair with a hair straightener?
Hey, ignore what Ultra dumb something said, that person is a complete jerk! UGH!

Anyways, I don't really think that you can do that without it looking funny...sorry....
all you do is put the straightner at the root of your hair and slowly pull it down tilll there is enough room to turn it towards your head.. you will turn it counter clockwise towards your head while pulling down.. it takes a while to get the hang of it but it looks really cute.. the slower you pull down the tighter the curls.. hope i could help
twist it around your hair ant then pull down
okay...well start at the root of your hair and pull straight down, depending on where you want the curl or ';bump'; to start, start rotating the straightening iron under towards the nape of you neck extending down until you get to the tip of your ends. hold for about 3 seconds to ensure a good smooth curl. it helps if you do your hair in sections meaning part your hair in 3 or 4 sections and curl a small piece of hair at a time instead of curling large clumps of hair. depending on your hair type you may want to use a heat protector to ensure minimal breakage. this is good for a quick and easy hair do. my best advice is to invest in either a set of curling irons (large, medium, and small) or buy magnetic rollers and when you wash your hair roll it, sit under the dryer and you can hold onto that curl for at least a week without worrying about curling it everyday.
hah, thats funny, are u seriouss??
start near the roots of your hair, grab a section as big as you want a single curl to be.

dont squeeze the straightener together too tight so it wont pull your hair.

i think the best angle to hold the straightener at is somewhere in the middle of completely vertical and horizontal... diagonal usually works.

rotate the straightener in the direction you want the curls to go. use both hands to keep rotating it completely.

slowly pull the straightener down your hair while youre rotating. the trick is doing both at the same time. if you stop rotating, that part of your hair will just be straight.
Umm yah people lie in those comercails and they are illusions my best frinds mom is a hair dresser in the states and she knows it doesn't work they do it to persuade you into buying more money. Don't beleive all of those comercials and vidoes you see and or hear.
at the end of ur tips just twirl it
i personally think using a straightener is easier and workse better. here is how i did it:

    1. You just ';take a small section of hair and place the iron towards the root of your hair.

    2. With your other hand, wrap the section of hair once around the iron and slowly drag the iron through your hair [ similar to the way you would curl a ribbon with scissors.]

    3. After the iron is all the way pulled through your hair, use your fingers to twirl the hair into a curl.

    4. Separate the curls with your fingers 鈥揫but do NOT brush them out ]
I have no idea how to do that/if it's possible but in my opinion it seems really improbable. If it is possible I'd think it would take a lot more time and just using a curling iron.

I bought a curling iron at Target for about $15 and it works GREAT! So, maybe, think about investing in one. Conair and Revlon are usually pretty good bets. :) Also, you can always return it if you find out you dislike it and try another (or not). I just think that would be your best investment both money wise and time wise.

Hope I helped and good luck! :)
K people are stupid. It IS POSSIBLE TO CURL YOUR HAIR WITH A STRAIGHTENER. wow.

    Don't listen to them.

You CAN curl your hair with a flat iron.

And I actually prefer it to a curling iron.

Well, I curl my hair with a 1/2 inch flat iron. My hair is a little bit passed my shoulders in length.

Basically you can curl your hair with any size flat iron as long as your hair is long enough. You need to wrap a peice of your hair all the way around the flat iron, so as long as it can make one complete rotation, you can use it to curl your hair.

Remember: The smaller the flat iron is, the tighter the curls will be. The bigger the flat iron, the looser the waves. Also, the faster you go, the looser the waves. The slower you go the tighter the curls.

It is very very hard to explain, so I'm not even going to bother to try because I know you won't understand what I'm saying.

    So here is a video:

A few of the best flat irons right now depending on your budget are the Secret To Beauty Ceramic Flat iron (moderately priced) this iron gets extremely hot has a pure ceramic plate, and will get even the curliest hair bone straight. If money is no object definitely the best iron your can buy is the GHD IV Styler, they come in a variety of colors (white is the best seller) they are made of the best quality and you can actually style your hair with them. • Looking for a good quality hair straightener?

I have sort of thick hair with a slight wave. it's really hard to straighten sometimes. Does anyone know of a good quality straigthener for not too much?Looking for a good quality hair straightener?
If you want the best quality, I suggest you get a Sedu. I've noticed you said you wanted one for not too much, and I think 100-200 dollars is too much. I recommend the brand Revlon. Not as many people trust this brand because it's around the same price range as Conair, which is crap. I bought a Revlon Infinity straightener a while ago and it works great on my thick wavy hair. It's also digital, which to me makes it easier to use. I bought mine for 25 dollars Canadian, so if you live in the US it should be even cheaper!

Please, if you're thinking of investing on a high quality straightener, DO NOT buy a CHI. They tend to break very easily and they're just not worth the price.Looking for a good quality hair straightener?

Mine is frizzy, but with MaxiGlide and Corioliss, it go from full-on freak, to fabulous! Together, they can set you back about $150.00 but it is worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! Plus, the MaxiGlide comes with creams that help your hair lose the thick frizz.
    sedu, chi, solia, or conair

the cheapest is conair. any thing with ceramic plates it great.

well to get a TRULY good quality straightener it will cost u a pretty penny

the one i use is Coriolis and u can get either the $175 or $200. i know its alot, but my hair is really thick and has a whole lot more than a slight wave

just thought i'd tell ya even though i know u wont buy it

Can you bring on a hair straightener on an airplane?

I have to go to a funeral on the upcoming Wednesday and i do not know if i can bring on a hair straightener on the airplane if its not going to be carried on someone please help!!!Can you bring on a hair straightener on an airplane?
As long as you check the luggage in, it should be fine. I dont recommend you to carry it in your hand luggage. You might want to confirm with your flight before you fly...hope this helps...Can you bring on a hair straightener on an airplane?
Yeah you can bring a hair straightner in your checked in luggage.
i brought mine...put it in your regular bag that gets checked and put under the plane
Yes you can. You wont however be able to bring any liquid hair gel, shampoo, hair spray, lotion etc. Anything over 5 oz will be thrown out. So if you aren't going to check your luggage. Be prepared to spend money on all you hair care products, perfumes, toothpaste etc.

If i dont use my hair straightener for a week, will my hair grow faster and be healthier looking?

I dont have very damaged hair, but will not using my hair straightener at all help my hair to grow?If i dont use my hair straightener for a week, will my hair grow faster and be healthier looking?
well..maybe one week may not be enough..but if u use it like 24/7 then it will make an improovement on ur hair and will make it look heathier and grow faster..when u iron ur hair you dry out all of the natural oils in ur hair and make some of ur hair dead..especially if u use it alot..one week will make ur hair look much healthier and it will grow a bit..hope i answered ur question correctly...good luck=)If i dont use my hair straightener for a week, will my hair grow faster and be healthier looking?
Well, I use a hair straightner too, and my hair stays fine. It grows it's normal way,and still looks healthy. Maybe it is your shampoo. Try Dove shampoo if it is.
yeah but you should not use it for longer than a week!!
It won't grow faster, but yes it will be healthier. It is good to give your hair a break from the straitener every once in a while.
well.. i straighten my hair every single day..then i decided i wanted to get a perm... it messed my hair all up... so i had to go get it cut.. now my hair is to about my shoulders.. and it is FRIED... Ive tried not using the straightener ...but that's really the only way i like my hair.. try to get some deep conditioning treatments..they help a little bit.

First i bought this 15 dollar cheap conair one and it didnt work too well and it just damaged myhair. I have long waist length naturally curly hair. I have never been able to get it stick straight. For some of us it just isn't possible. By the way I am caucasian.
don't use the hair straightener.if you use it more and more, it will turn you hair to become horse hair.so then you will have to straighten it every single day or else it's going to look all thick and be all puffy.
Revlons great.Good luck by the way.
Uh, stop killing your hair with a straightener and love your curls! With the right care and products they can look better than fried, frizzy hair when you straighten it too much.

  • Can I buy a SEDU Hair straightener at a store instead of online?

My Chi does an ok job at straightening my hair, except for the whole taking a 2 hours chunk of time to get through it all. I'm looking at a SEDU in hopes that it will cut down straightening time and do less damage, because even though I have a tong of thick tightly curled hair, its deceptively sensative and fragile (which is a pain in the ***).

I saw the SEDU online and I don't want to wait for it in the mail, so, are there any stores that carry or even know about this product? Can I buy a SEDU Hair straightener at a store instead of online?
    As far as I know its only available online at the moment;

thats like the equivalent to a light bulb :S

Will a hair straightener be allowed as a carry-on on a flight?

my mom suggested that we just take carry-ons so we wont have to go through the whole trouble of baggage claim etc., but I want to bring my hair straightener on our trip. Will it get caught in security? Will a hair straightener be allowed as a carry-on on a flight?
Hair straighteners are not one of the things that have been banned on airplanes. You will be allowed to carry it on the plane. Be careful with other hair products and such. They are having a major crack down with there 3-1-1 policy. All aresols, gels, and liquids are required to be 3 oz. or smaller and all of them that you have are required to fit in a clear ziplock bag. Happy travels. Will a hair straightener be allowed as a carry-on on a flight?
I would ASSUME it'd be fine, but these days, anything's possible. I had itty bitty nail scissors that they took when they did a random search of my bag... I was in such a hurry that I didn't bother arguing about it and it was too late to check my bag.

So, if it's a concern, I'd say get there early enough that if they say you have to check it, you can.
Hair straighteners aren't on the prohibited items list. Go to http://www.tsa.gov and read the list of prohibited items.

If you aren't going to check anything, make sure that all of your liquids and gels (toothpaste, hand lotion, sunscreen, liquid makeup, shampoo, shaving cream, perfume, body spray, etc.) is all 3 ounces or less in container size. If it's larger, it isn't allowed in your carry-on. Try to prepare before you go through the checkpoint. I have to go through airport security on a weekly basis and it drives me nuts when people don't prepare ahead of time.

Yes it will work through just about all of Europe.

You will need a plug adaptor which you can pick up from the warehouse (or similar) for about $10.

What kind of hair straighteners are the best? I'm getting some for christmas but don't know what kind to get?

It depends what type of hair you have. If you have normal hair, then any type of ceramic straightener will be good. Remington make good ones for cheap prices. But if you have really thick and frizzy hair (like me!), then I would recommend GHD's. They're quite expensive, but totally worth it. I bought some before the summer and they're really good. If you get them off the GHD website, you get a free thermal protector, free heat-proof mat, and free next day delivery.

If you do get some make sure you keep using heat protectors on your hair, and use moisturising conditioners and treatments to keep your hair shiny and in good condition. What kind of hair straighteners are the best? I'm getting some for christmas but don't know what kind to get?
Chi is the best one I've ever used. They run from about $90-$200, and last a long time. They heat up super fast too. Check them out at:

Wet 2 straight by Remington!!! It is about $30 and works like a dream! I have curly hair and I can get my hair stick straight in 10 Min's! I also use sun silk straighten up. I've been using this for about a month and it does not burn or dry out your hair. please trust me on this one!!
I use GHD's myself, they work wonders and really leave your hair str8 and silky.
GHD are the best! Bit pricey but well worth it! You can even get pink ones now! Whatever you go for, make sure they are ceramic ones!

    Happy straightening!
The Chi is the best hair straightener ever. It not only straightens hair quickly, it also makes it a bit shinier, and soft.
i heard ghd's can burnout?? so i got gama straightners 3 years ago and there still as good as new and theyve been used everyday, ive heard futura are good aswell but thats untill the spring snaps in the handle
try GHDs or Babyliss 360 pro or something i have those and they have an adjustable temperature so you dont like burn your hair off. some girl in my school once burnt her fringe off with GHDs and she came into school with like no fringe it was well funny.
ghd's are the only way to go! They cost a lot more but are worth every penny :o)
    GHD BY FAR!!!!
GHD ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE MY HAIR STRAIGHTNED ALL THE TIME!!!!!
The best hair straightener in the world is not in the form of a beauty product. It is the CHI hair straightening iron. (little pricy but so worth it approx $100) This baby will go as hot as needed to straighten even the craziest of kinks and curls. All you will needs is a heat protectant spray (VO5 has one for like $2.50 that is awesome!!) and a shine and/or protectant serum (I couldn't live a day without Biosilk hair serum). You will be straight as an arrow if you use these!
definatly GHDs they work really well on all types of hair
GHDs are great , although I've burned out 2 sets in the last 3 years so I 've now got a pair of Kodo ceramic straighteners and they're pretty good and a lot cheaper than GHDs. I think I paid about 拢55 for them.
my daughter reckons GHD there expensive but worth it according to her .
GHD are without a doubt the best on the market
they have a new pink GHD out. they heat quickly and make your hair really straight. you can also buy hair serum to protect your hair. my sister has them and to be honest her hair is really straight and looks good. the pink GHD can be quite expensive though, i think they are around 拢160 around though i'm not entirly sure but they don't come cheap i know that!
Ghd especially if you have thick hair I wasted money on 3 sorts before getting GHD's.
i think u will like those straighteners that have braoder plates, so ur hair are done quickly..also much of the hair are done in a single stroke, so they lead to evenness in the final result
Hi I have tried my friends GHD's and agree they are very good and therefore I decided I wanted some to, but unfortunatly I could not afford them. However my friend told me corioliss pro straghteners are even better and so I got them and yes they are just as good or even better than Ghd's. Oh and for all the girls who love pink you can get them in a lovely girly pink. Hope I helped.
    deffienetly GHD
GHD!!!!! i have had mine for 3 yrs and use mine nearly everyday and they are still like new! they have never let me down!
GHD's are the only choice for me, the best you can get in my opinion.

    I hope this helps!
GHD professional ceramic hair straighteners are reputed to be the best you can get. Being the best, they are rather expensive though! They're between 拢70 - 拢80. I use Babyllis and they're OK, but I have to admit that having used a friend's GHDs, there's no competition!
GHD with ceramic are the best. I think the ceramic is the important thing
dont get ghd it burns your flaming hair. vidal sasoon is the best. gives your hair a smooth and silky finish. i even bough one for my mum coz she likes doing her hair. Retail price is 拢40.00 but i have seen cheaper. trust me on this.
    GHDs easily

GHD's are without a doubt the best. They are quite expensive but worth it. Superdrug have good deals on them around xmas time.

but well worth itt!Where can you buy an all ceramic hair straightener? And how much will they Cost?
An all ceramic flat iron isn't the best but it's better than most others. A flat iron with ceramic tourmaline plates is the best way to go. A good flat iron will cost you quite a bit especially if you go to a salon to get it. I highly suggest going to folica.com because they have a big selection and really good prices on all there stuff. My favorite flat iron is a Solia and you can get one on there for about $100.

    Hope this helped!

I have an Andis Tourmaline Nano-Ceramic 120 volt straightener, but i'm not sure that it will work, even if I do use a converter. Can you use a 220 volt converter to use a hair straightener in Europe?
You should be able to use it. I am traveling back to Spain this summer and I have a 1600 Watt foreign voltage converter. It converts 220/240VAC to the standard US voltage, so it seems as long as you have a normal hair straightener it should work, or at least i hope so because I will be screwed! :) %26amp; you might want to check how much voltage your converter can convert. Mine converts up to 1600 so a 120 volt appliance would work. Can you use a 220 volt converter to use a hair straightener in Europe?
Yes, if you use one made for heating appliances, or a large enough transformer stuff.

What do you suggest to use for hair straightener products?

I know you're supposed to put something on before and after straightening your hair to protect but what do you suggest? I'm African American and I don't use chemicals to straighten my hair. I only use a straightener when I absolutely have to which is usually after washing. What should I use to protect it because It is starting to look dry and eh!

Thanks :)What do you suggest to use for hair straightener products?
My hair stylist uses Chi products on all hair types and hasn't had any complaints on it. It coats the cuticle causing less damage when heat is applied. What do you suggest to use for hair straightener products?
If you have a really good straightener, you don't really NEED to put product into your hair. For my hair (caucasion here), if I add in straightening creams or products like that, they just weigh down my hair, and make it greasier faster.. and it takes away the natural shine.

If you're talking about dehydrated hair, you could always use shampoos or leave-in conditioners that are moisturizing. There are many collections that are good for rehydrating your hair, like sunsilk, or dove.

Otherwise, the only product that I may use after I straighten my hair are serums, which are really light, and smoothen out your hair - like frizz, and split ends. It reduces the look of them. Serums don't weigh down your hair too much, and it makes your hair look shiny.

    Hope that helps!

    :)
    Redken 08.

    It's roughly 18 dollars.

    But totally worth it.

I had so many split ends..

and then when I tried this..

    it pretty much protected ittt.

    :D

Just don't use too much, or put it on the roots. Otherwise It will start to look greasy....

  • What is so great about the Chi hair straightener?

I use a cheap hand-me-down straightener that, at the time I got it, I thought would be temporary - until I realized that I really have no clue of what any good products are. Recently, all of my friends have been talking about the Chi hair straightener. So, what's so great about it? Are there any downsides? What is so great about the Chi hair straightener?
i think its great! it gets ur hair super straight and u can even curl with it. i guess i could say the only bad thing about it is tht u cant adjust how hot u want it to be. but tht doesnt bother me. hope i answered ur question! What is so great about the Chi hair straightener?
i love it. it heats up in like thirty seconds and you can straighten your hair really fast with it. i havent had any down sides with it
there are many down sides about CHI's, they are way over rated and i think people make them sound way better than they actually are.
    Its just an expensive straightner.

How to convince my dad to buy me a good hair straightener?

You know dads right don't really care for beauty product such as make up hair stuff and straighteners so how to convince him to buy me one but to buy me a good expensive oneHow to convince my dad to buy me a good hair straightener?
do odd jobs and earn it yourself

    get a part time job

or just clean around the house and do favours for him etc. wash his cars vacume mop mow gardenHow to convince my dad to buy me a good hair straightener?
Take him to a beauty salon store where there are alot of good ones and the prices range. And he will have no choice you can't get a cheap one, you need one that is for your hair length depends on the size of the straightener part, the thickness of it or whatever. And you may not need the most expensize one there, I mean you can get a pretty good one on slae for about 40-50 doolars I would not spend much more then that, you will go through a bunch of those in life you just need one that gets hot enough to straighten your hair and one that is the right size depending on your hair length. But tell him not to buy you a 20.00 one chances are it is not going to be the right size, it is not going to get hot enough to even straighten your hair and it will probally brake within a week, so he will actually save cause i can say that I have never bought a cheap one that lasted more then a week or two they blow up from the heat and stop heating up you go through a couple of those anyways so why not get one for the price you will have to pay for 3 that will keep breaking. But the prices at the salons are fair and they keep good ones there anywats not the cheap walmart kinds so go there, if u have a sally's go there they have the best. Ow and gold/silver plated don't matter so don't pay extra for it to look good go for quality, like the heat levels, the inch size and the price.. good luck, i bought a couple cheap ones too and now I have had the one I use every day for 4 years and never had a problem it was 65.00 well worth every penny too.
Make a budget with him. Say you will do certain stuff on certain days and make a point system (points are easier to get than money from a dad) %26amp; you earn a certain number of points for each task each day (compromise with him or he won't go along with it). Once you get up to so many points you get the straightener you want. Make sure you have a specific one already worked out with him so there's not confusion in the end. This will show him you're willing to work %26amp; put effort into it.

Try to plan it all out before you approach him so it looks like you've put thought into it. %26amp; that way you will be able to answer all of his questions too.

    GOOD LUCK :o)
    Haha, had the same problem about 2 months ago with my mom. This is what i said, ';...unless you want to spend $35.00 for a hair straightener that WE BOTH know is gonna be generic and brake, why not just one ONE actual good one that's worth the money to get?';
    ';expensive'; doesn't always mean ';good';.
do nice things for him like a week after u ask

becuz if he thinks ur just being nice just to get the straightner he wont let it

    so ask...wait a week..do lots of nice things for a week...ask again

What is a good in store chemical hair straightener?

So I've got really curly and frizzy hair naturally with my long hair. I've found that straightening my hair makes it look good but I'm having to use this method on daily basis and I'm not gonna pay like 80 dollars for a permanent straightening! So I'm looking for a good chemical hair straightener that works and is on shelf at a place like walgreensWhat is a good in store chemical hair straightener?
well , wat u get is wat u pay for, Japanese recostrution straightening system could be great. but its expensive with great result, but you have to get it done every six month. if you don't want to spend lots money, than invest in good flat iron,

don't attempt relaxer on yourself, it could do further damage to your hair or scalp .

frizzy hair can be fix by good conditioning and mask , and anti-frizz product. go to a hair stylist you trust for adviseWhat is a good in store chemical hair straightener?
I say if you haven't chemically straighten your hair, DON'T. Chemicals damage your hair and it will never be managable, without a lot of care and time.

My advice to you is to get a heat protectant serum so that you can straighten your hair with a flat iron and not damage your hair. I recommend using IC Hair Polisher Heat Protector Straightening Serum from Fantasia (not the singer). LOL.

DO NOT flat iron your hair EVERYDAY because heat damages the hair and your hair will sooner or later break off.

Flat iron your hair once or twice a week if you want the straight look. For the rest of your time, wear your hair naturally.

For the straight look to last longer, it's best to wrap your hair before bed and cover it with a satin scarf to keep your hair smooth and your hair won't break off on your pillow.
I had the same exact thought about a year ago and I bought the at home straightner and I literally burnt my hair and had to cut the damage out and made my hair really short! . It's not like hair coloring you have to get everything precisely right.

So I will give you the advice I wished someone would of given me then.. don't do it! some things aren't meant to be done at home... pay the money to make sure it is done correctly

How do you make curls with a hair straightener?

Well I have a CHI so i have been straightenning my hair but then i found out that u could do curls to. so anything will help from a URL that shows u how to pictures to a description. Thanks sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much and PLEASE answer! How do you make curls with a hair straightener?
If you want to curl your hair, use a freakin hair curler. k thanksHow do you make curls with a hair straightener?
How I do it is that I just move my straighnter in the direction I want the curl to go.
You could straighten one section and then wrap it in rollers. That always works well with my straighteners. Also, as you're straightening, make sure to go in a path that's not STRAIGHT down, but rather in curves, so this is like, a pre-treatment.
Straighten your hair, then go back and start either half way or at the top and wrap your hair around the straightener. Kind of like a swirly pattern, then pull the straightener straight down and you'll have spirals.
It depends on how big your straightener is. If it's a skinny straightener most people would just use it the same way as a curling iron it usually just depends on what kind of straightener you own which is a CHI so i would just recommend buying a skinny straightener.

Also, i hope you have one of those small tiny ones. because those are the ones that you use for that.
well when you are taking the straightener down your hair, you can turn it sideways and you can make the ends flipped out [or in]
Hair straightener is meant to weigh down your hair, making it heavy, and taking out the curl.

If you use hair straightener to make curls, your curls will be oily looking, if you get any curls at all.
