Could i use a hair straightener to iron on patches?

i have some iron-patches, a desire to get them on my fave hoodie, but no iron :( I have an old hair straightener that i wouldn't mind getting some patch glue on, so you think it could work? ive used my flat iron in the past to iron creases in fabric, and it worked well. wat u think?Could i use a hair straightener to iron on patches?

i guess so? not a good idea to use it on your hair after. the glue from the patches will most likely adhere to the plates and damage your flat iron and your hair.
IF you have a CHI iron it might bwork because they get up to like 400 degrees, but then you run the risk of ruining your 100 dollar straightener, irons are cheaper.
