How do you curl curly hair with a hair straightener?

Do i straighten my hair first?

I only have a hair straightener so how do I get my hair like that?How do you curl curly hair with a hair straightener?
i'm in the exact same boat as you, with hair like yours. first off, i suggest having a friend help you and she can help style the back of your hair (its hard to see the back yourself) really well. I have thick curly frizzy hair like yours. The picture of the girl you posted in the second picture, her curls are not natural curls. She is a straight haired girl who curled her hair. Most people think I'm crazy, but natural curls and false curls look completely different most of the time.

The best way to do this is to straighten your hair wait a half hour so it's not Just-Straightened and then curl it with a real good curling iron. But this is pretty damaging, cuz you're flat ironing it AND curling it, so don't do it if your hair is damaged.



your second option is to work through your natural curls with a curling iron but most of the time this doesn't come out 100% perfect, there WILL be some flaws and you'll have to go through the same naturally curly hair with the iron like A LOT. like curl one strand like 4 times.



and don't put rollers (hot AND jumbo/velcro, either one), in your naturally curly hair, hun, they don't work.How do you curl curly hair with a hair straightener?
I have straight hair and curl it with my straightener by just rolling it around the flat iron, but it never turns out how ur second pic looked. I would think u need a big curler like a 2 inch one to achieve that after straightening....
I'm in a different boat as you lol. I have straight hair that won't hold a curl. I heard it stays better with a straightener than with a curling iron. Good Luck!
you could curl with a straightener by clamping the hair and then twisting it and pulling down. look it up on youtube. I love curling with my flat iron.
You wouldn't use a straightening iron. You would want to use rollers.
flat iron first, and then curl it. Be sure to use a straightening serum whilst flat ironing so that it won't frizz...
