Look for a ion ceramic hair straightener. The brand is not important. Also be sure that the surface of it is at least 2.5 inches. This will probably cost between $30 and $40 dollars, however the cheaper ones will just be a waste of money.
Always GHD They cost around 130 euros which i think will be around 145 dollars something like that. you can get them cheaper on ebay but i wouldn't waste your money with any others, i did and ended up paying more in the long run!

Chi!!!! chis are the best of the best!!! but they can be a little $$$...
Chi straighteners are the best. They are pricey, but they work really well. My hair is poofy and curly, and it straightens it so it looks amazing.

I got my flat iron pretty cheap at Walmart and it does an OK job. I've never used an expensive one, but the one I have does work. Sometimes it takes a WHILE, but it does work.
I use Connar. It works really good. It cost about $18 at Walmart.
