the conair brain is good!
Coniar INFINITY! It is a dream! For curly hair all you do is switch the adjustment knob and bingo it goes right through your hair making it the straightest it has ever before!
Here's a site with the top 10 with a few before and after pictures. http://www.folica.com/appliances/straigh/a>

CHI's the best in my opinion.
CHi!!! They work great! The only problem is it breaks right after the year warrenty expires! :D

Conair
chi. most definatly a Chi brand straightner. basically every hair stylist has one and their soo good! they do the least amount of damage to your hair. they have a self controlled heating. so you your hair doesnt get damaged. but always make sure you use a protector in ur hair, or urhaiir will fry and be like straw.
ISO has a great one
The all time best hair straightener is a CHI. They are extremely expensive though but most have a several year warranty and they seem to last quite a long time as long as you don't abuse them.

They sell them at the local Ulta store here. You could also check out their website. If you get a thin model it will cost you around $100.
Okay so first you need to buy a need straightener don't buy one that's about 20 dollars buy one that's 150 dollars (I'm saving up for that then you have to straighten your hair with that and you have to buy a shampoo called Sleek Look by Matrix that product works very good and you will love your hair But I recommend a new brush too. :)
the chi works great but it can be costly ($100-$150!)

maxi glide works pretty well too, it uses steam to tame the hair.

remember to use a serum product to protect your lovely locks from damage =)
I have a vidal sassoon one and its ceramic, only get ceramic because it doesnt ruin your hair. i have extremely curly hair and my straightner keeps the frizz/poof down.
