I'm getting a new Remington straightener.
I'm thinking of the S8203 Wet-To-Straight one.
I'd only use it on dry hair though, because I think straightening my hair when it's wet would damage it too much.
I'd use the lowest temperature too, which is 140 degrees celcius.
Is there anything wrong with that?Is there anything wrong with using a wet-to-straight hair straightener on dry hair?
No. I think the Remington has temperature settings for dry hair.. check the box! Hope your straightener works good =] I'm getting the Remington Wet2Straight soon also!Is there anything wrong with using a wet-to-straight hair straightener on dry hair?
nope! I have that hair straightener, i rarely use it when my hair is wet! The results are still good! the lowest temperature is 160 degrees celcius LOL ;D!
Sometimes when im in a rush, after shower i ring my hair out abit and wait for it to dry so its not dripping. when i straighten my WET hair (which takes abit longer), the end result is just abit 'dry' as in yuck dry xD (im bad at explaining %26gt;.%26lt;), but just put some anti frizz/breakage serum, and it'll be even finer than it was alone xD!
Good luck!
Wet to dry doesn't literally mean wet to dry. Your hair has to be at least 90% dry before using the straightener. Doing it sooner will dry out your hair and will create an coarse texture for your hair.
even if your using the ';lowest heat'; which is really around 230 degrees farienheit (however you spell it) and even if you don't do it when your hair is wet, it will still damage your hair. use it sparingly, and get a heat protectant spray. their cheap and you can buy them at any drugstore.
