Has anyone bought the farouk biosilk hair straightener? Is it as good as the chi?

It's made by the same company, Farouk, so they are similar. I would suggest the Biosilk one over the CHI because it has a temperature dial so you can control the heat, whereas the CHI just gets really really really hot. If you have thick hair, you'll need a higher heat setting, and thin/fine hair will need a lower heat setting.

Always remember to use a thermal protectant spray before you flat iron! Has anyone bought the farouk biosilk hair straightener? Is it as good as the chi?
It's the best of the best. My hair was so dull before i started using biosilk, I had probelms with breakage and it just didn't seem to get to that silky soft straight stage you're always looking for when you straighten. A stylist turned me on to the Biosilk after using CHI for at least two years and I couldn't believe what my hair looked and felt like. It's totally worth the money. Look for the big bottles for the best deal. If you have a Sally hair supply place near you (it's a big chain) they have their own version of the Biosilk. It was a little cheaper but it didn't work as well for me...I think it might have just been a watered down version.
