it depends on the thickness of their hair.
put it on high. when it's mostly dry but kinda wet,
then put it on low cool until it drys all the way.
that closes the scalp/hair cuticle so it doesn't damage.

there's a product by sebastian that straightens hair..i can't remember the name of it though, but you can either google or yahoo sebastian products and find it.. best on your efforts!!!
put any kind of thick hair product like gel
brush the hair straight and let dry and every so often comb the hair so it stay straight and wen completely dry bush out all the gel with out water
