i have a remington tstudio tourmaline ceramic straightener that i purchased from target for about $36, and i love it! i can get my hair straightened in 10-20 minutes (depending on how picky i am that day or if i'm having a good or bad hair day)
so the tstudio has 2.25 inch ceramic plates (really big plates for getting your hair straightened fast). the temperature setting goes from between 100-375 degrees (i usually don't set it higher than 140 degrees), and it heats up really quickly.
it leaves my hair soft, smooth, and silky!

this is definitely a salon quality straigtener for a fraction of the price. you really do not need an expensive chi, ghd, or sedu straightener to get amazingly straight, soft, and silky hair.
i would really recommend you try the remington tstudio.
(it comes with a 4 year warranty too)

I tried Chi and it worked great but i also have another hair straightener from maxiglide. It's expensive but definitely worth it.
If you want to look, here's the website:

choose the chi
i dont actually own one, but my friend has two and i used one and oh my lord it is amazing! lol my hair is soo wavy and curly and frizzy and horrible, but once i used it it made my hair totally straight! but luckily i got my hair done in the philippines so its straight...:D
defiantly don't buy really really expensive ones because most aren't all that good, defiantly go with a ceramic straightener because ur hair is really straight and smooth because the ceramic can get really hott
non here is one dat is the best http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d…
