CHI is the very best one to buy. You can find them at any beauty supply store. What is the best hair straightener on the market?
I have heard chi, but don't personally own one. I saw it at target yesterday for $150. They probably have a better selection at a sally beauty supply store. Or you can ask a hair stylist and bring a picture to show her hair length and texture.
They might know what's the best iron for her to use. I think the whole craze over chi is that it is extremely high heat and steams when you use it. So be sure to tell her to be careful with it and make sure to read the directions before the first use. I'm sure alot of women have burned their hair with that one... I just bought a 3/4 inch conair and it works for me. It's only $15, but I don't straighten my hair everyday. I forgot to add that a woman next to me in line said that her chi broke after 2 years and it was alot of money. The most expensive chi iron is $200 at sephora.
ghd's
I have a Chi and swear by it. Good investment. Lasts a long time. I've had mine for 3 years now.
Your fiance would be thrilled if you got her the CHI iron by Farouk. I personally have be using it for the last 5 1/2 years, and I wouldn't ever think about getting any other kind. There are a lot of different styles that you can choose from, varying on the money you want to spend and what you want it to do (they have specific irons designed for volumizing and such). I personally use the CHI originial because that was the only one they had when I first got it years ago. I've found that that one works the best too (but i may just be partial to the one I own). They are really great. They are designed so you don't have to put a lot of squeeze into them when using it, which will help prevent damage to the hair. They also reach a something like 356 degrees F in like 6 seconds, and have an adjustable temperatur setting. CHI also has a line of product called CHI, which works really well as well. I don't think I'll ever use a different iron, and I've never recommend another one to anyone.
Good Luck!
a CHI is the best one but, it is expensive, I personally like Remington Wet to Straight.
A CHI is best. They are around $100-$130 but it's well worth the money.
They're very gentle on any hair type, as ceramic straighteners are the best, and you don't have to run over an area of hair more than once to get it dead straight.
As for the Remington Wet to Straight...it doesn't really work. I used to have one, but quickly got rid of it. It makes hair very dry and even though it may be straight after you first run it over your hair...your hair will become wavy quickly...the style does not last at all, where as CHI lasts all day.
