It might make it a little more expensive (anything that plugs in would) but you shouldn't notice that much. If there's a huge increase on your bill then it might be the straightener. I had a heater that you just plugged into the wall. It was for my room, and my room was cold, so it used a ton. The months electricity bill was so high, i had to get rid of it and just put on another blanket. If your straightener is costly with electricity, then find a new one!!!
