Is it dangerous to keep and use the electric hair straightener on the bathroom sink?

My sister likes to use the straightener keeping it on the side of the sink. What are the chances to be electrocuted, is it really risky if she keeps the area around the sink dry? and there is a rug on the floor, under her feet, which should protect her , she says.Is it dangerous to keep and use the electric hair straightener on the bathroom sink?
If the sink is dry then its perfectly fine.


If its wet, and she is touching the iron, yes she will fry, and no the rug won't help one bit.





If a iron falls into the water do not grab it.


tell your parent or guardian. they should do the following.


Turn off the breaker to the bathroom.


unplug iron and throw it away.


drain sink.

Make sure to keep the area around the sink dry so it doesn't ruin the iron.. And don't use the iron with the sink full of water or the water running.
As long as she doesn't put it under water while she's holding it....and make sure water doesn't splash on the cord, because that will ruin the iron.
