Does the TSA or Continental list hair straighteners or hair dryers anywhere as approved products? I don't see them listed as prohibited on the TSA website, but that doesn't exactly mean it's alright to carry either. Just looking to see if anyone else has flown recently with a hair straightener on Continental, if it helps, I'm leaving from Newark airport, since occasionally, airport security determines more than anything else.I'm flying Continental with my girlfriend and she wants to pack her hair straightener in her carry on?
It shouldn't be a problem. If there's any concern, the TSA agent will simply ask to look into the bag to check their suspicions.
