How do you use a hair straightener?

I just got one but not really sure how to use it or when you use it.





Do you like use it after a shower when your hair is wet or after shower but dry your hair first?





I don't know, if you could help me out that would be nice.

either let your hair air dry, or if you don't have time, blow dry it until it's almost dry, but make sure they're still a little moisture in your hair.


next put a heat protectant in it, this'll protect it from the heat(obviously) and keep it from getting damaged.





next pin up the top half of your hair, and take small sections, depending on how bid your straightener is. If it's 2 inches wide take a larger amount of hair than if it's a half inch straightener.





so take sections and straighten your hair all around until it's all straight, then let down the top half of your hair and straighten that.


once your done, take a good look in the mirror and make sure you didn't miss anything, and quickly run over huge chunks of hair with your straightener.





then put a smoothing serum or finishing spray if you want, and you're done:)





To do the back of your head, just put the straightener down, and grab teh small section of hair, and pull it to teh side, so you'd be able to see it if you were doing it in front of a mirror, you can also tilt your head to the other side too, if you need to. and then just go over it like you would any other section.How do you use a hair straightener?
Do NOT use a straightener after the shower, if you've tried it you'd know how it hisses like crazy...that's because it frying your hair when it's wet!





Make sure your hair is dry. It's pretty easy to use it, especially compared to curling irons, just put a strand of hair in between the two sticks press down, and pull through the hair. That simple. You may have to go over an area twice or so if the straightener doesn't get that hot.
well everyone is saying not to do it when wet but i have a good one that can be used wet or dry. it is called wet2straight and it is really good and you can find it at any store and it was even on oprah cause it does not damage your hair as much as others. but if it is not that then dont use it when wet.

i would do it after you shower. but make sure its DRY! if not your hair will totally fry!





umm i put some sort of heat protection in my hair so it wont damage it as bad. then i divide my hair into sections. then just take ur straightener and go over ur hair.
When your hair is COMPLETELY dry, spray your hair with a heat protectant so your hair does not damage. [it will get damaged if you don't use one.] next straighten small sections at a time and that is pretty much it. it is easy :)
